On July 9, after inspection by the Xinglin Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, 240 new desert-type buses from Dajinlong were shipped from Xiamen to Algeria. This batch of buses is an upgraded version of the new bus that Dajinlong has launched for the African and Middle Eastern markets, worth US$13 million. It is Xiamen Auto’s single largest export value order this year.
As Africa and the Middle East, the traditional market for Xiamen auto exports, due to the high temperature, dry air, and large dust content in desert areas, some vehicles often suffer from “acclimatization†in their local use. In view of this situation, Xiamen this year specializes in developing and producing bus vehicles for use in desert-type geography. The quality of products has been recognized by customers in Africa and the Middle East.
