The on-site staff did not find any passengers fainted. According to the operator, the high-power electric fans installed on the Xinzhuang station platform provide ventilation and convection for passengers. If passengers feel stifling and uncomfortable, they can also seek help directly from the staff.

Some netizens said that “there was no air-conditioning system in the Xinzhuang station, thousands of people were trapped in the station, the station was very hot, and passengers did not faint...” and photographs of a female passenger lying on the ground were allotted.

Afterwards, the subway operator responded to the investigation after responding to the report and said that during the morning peak period, the Xinzhuang Station of Metro Line 1 did not receive a report that passengers were fainting. The on-site staff did not find any passengers fainted. The operator explained that the reason why there was no air-conditioning system in Xinzhuang Station was because it was a ground station. However, the operator stated that the station hall of Xinzhuang Station was picking empty, with a large three-dimensional space and strong air convection. At the same time, 14 high-power fans were installed on the platform to provide direct ventilation and convection for passengers waiting to be accommodated.

The operator also stated that he apologized for the inconvenience caused by the passenger’s trip this morning and reminded passengers that as the temperature rises and feels hot and uncomfortable when taking the subway, he can always ask the station staff for help.
