In January 2013, the Dongfeng Dana Axle Fuyang Plant held a DES production line improvement startup meeting. Mr. Ye Zhengwu, Director of Xiangyang Plant, Ge Huayuan, Assistant Director, and Du Xianjun, Chief of Comprehensive Management Section, and leaders and supervisors of relevant functional departments attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Jin Liangwen, Deputy Chief of the General Management Department. Jin Liangwen introduced the background of the project and the network plan, emphasizing that the DES production line improvement should be evaluated according to the company's project management system. Du Xianjun, the person in charge of the project, pointed out that the project is based on the principle of easy-to-use and difficult-to-start. It starts with the axis-axle axis difference before the shell production line, and requires strong support and cooperation from the process, equipment, power, and workshops. The project objectives are set according to the specific conditions of the production line from aspects such as JPMH and labor intensity improvement. After Ge Huayuan, assistant director of the factory, asked the project team to determine the personnel, the personnel no longer changed. The team members had to go to the scene to understand the situation, be familiar with the improvement targets, prepare for the follow-up work, and ensure that the work time nodes are seamlessly connected. Director Ye stressed that it is critical to improve teamwork and leadership support. Leaders of various departments should give high support. The improvement has placed high demands on the technics department. It is necessary to set aside the status quo. According to the number of workers for the design of the production line and work in progress, strive to achieve the goals of labor intensity, safety, quality, and on-site 5S. All departments must work together and seek truth from facts. They can not do projects for the purpose of the project. All work must be done practically to prepare for the relocation of the new factory. The meeting marked the official start of the 2013 DES production line improvement at the Puyang Plant, which encouraged the morale of the team and pointed out the direction of DES improvement.
