China's plastics machinery trade deficit in 2010 is 900 million U.S. dollars

In recent years, the plastic machinery industry in China has developed rapidly. Industry giants headed by Haitian have already become leaders in the international arena, and the overall manufacturing level of the industry has also grown steadily. However, the output quantity advantage does not cover up the lack of high-end products. In 2010, the great trade power of dynastic presses amounted to 900 million U.S. dollars, and the amount of imported machines was almost twice that of exports.

According to data released recently by the Customs, China last year imported 15,000 plastic processing equipment and exported 44,000 units, with import and export volumes of 2 billion U.S. dollars and 1.1 billion U.S. dollars, respectively.

China's imports of presses mainly originate from Japan, Germany and Taiwan, which together account for 80% of the total imports.

Exports are mainly targeted at developing countries such as Brazil, Iran, India, Turkey, Indonesia, Vietnam and Thailand.

Injection molding machine is the main product of the plastic machine industry, accounting for about half of the import and export volume of all presses. Although India continued to implement anti-dumping measures on China's production of injection molding machines, the export of injection molding machines in China continued to increase by more than 70% in 2010.
