After years of development, the split electromagnetic flowmeter has been continuously improved in performance and its functions have been gradually strengthened. Electromagnetic flowmeters have minimal pressure loss and do not require parameters such as density, viscosity, temperature, pressure, etc., and require very little straight pipe sections.
What are the parameters required for split electromagnetic flowmeter selection?
1, the conductivity of the medium
The conductivity of the medium must not fall below the specified lower limit value. If it is lower than the lower limit value, measurement error will occur, resulting in failure to use it normally. Even if the upper limit value is exceeded, it can be measured, and the indication error does not change much.
2, electrode material
In order to achieve a good measurement effect during the measurement and use, and for a longer service life, it is necessary to select the material of the electrode according to whether the fluid to be measured is corrosive.
3, range caliber
The diameter of the electromagnetic flowmeter does not have to be the same as the diameter of the pipe. It must be determined based on the actual flow rate. The diameter of the flowmeter should be selected according to the calculation formula. For industrial transportation of water and other liquids, the general flow rate of the pipe is 1.5~3m/s. The electromagnetic flowmeter is used on such a pipe, and the diameter of the flowmeter can be the same as the pipe diameter.
4, with a mixture
The tiny bubbles mixed into the bubbly flow can still work normally, but the mixed volumetric flow rate containing the bubble volume is measured, the gas content is increased to form a blob-like flow, the electrode may be covered by the gas, and the circuit is instantaneously disconnected. Output shaking does not even work properly.
5, medium precipitation
When liquid is easily attached to the wall of the electromagnetic flowmeter and precipitates substances, if the conductive material is higher than the conductivity of the liquid, the signal potential will be short-circuited and will not work. If it is a non-conductive layer, the electrode contamination should be taken care of first. For example, it is not easy to attach sharp or semi-spherical protruding electrodes, replaceable electrodes, etc.
