The value-added of the metallurgical industry increased by 10.6% year-on-year in April; the value-added of the nonferrous metals industry increased by 12.4% year-on-year; the increase value of the petrochemical industry increased by 10.5% year-on-year; the building materials industry grew by 19.7% year-on-year. In April, the light industry grew by 14% year-on-year; the textile industry increased by 8.4% year-on-year; the pharmaceutical industry grew 8.4% year-on-year; chemical medicines and proprietary Chinese medicines grew by 20.1% and 25.9% respectively; the tobacco industry increased by 13.6% year-on-year.
