Jinduicheng Molybdenum Group company has two beneficiation plants, daily processing ore is about 28000t annual output of molybdenum concentrate about 30000t, the main by-product of molybdenum products, sulfur ore, copper ore, iron ore, of which The annual output of sulfur concentrate is 400,000 tons.
Since the company began to recycle by-product sulfur concentrates in early 1977, the company has continuously improved the sulfur-selecting process, and the production and quality of sulfur concentrates have been greatly improved. In recent years, due to the continuous reduction of the granularity of crushed ore and the continuous improvement of the operating rate of equipment, the production capacity of the plant has been increasing year by year. This makes the original sulfur production process unable to meet the production needs. The main problem is that the selected molybdenum tailings cannot be completely recovered. A waste of resources. In order to solve this problem, in recent years, the production process and equipment of the sulfur-selecting workshop have been improved several times, so that the output of the sulfur concentrate is greatly improved compared with the previous one, and the product quality has also been greatly improved.
Second, the nature of the ore
The Jinduicheng molybdenum deposit is one of the largest molybdenum deposits in the world. The deposit is located in the junction of the Jinduicheng Taipo and the Taihuatai arch in the southern margin of the Sino-Korean Plateau. The deposit consists of a large, nearly horizontally produced regular lenticular shape. The ore body is composed of NE300°, 2200m long, 600-800m wide and 500-700m thick. The deposit is a high-medium temperature hot-water fine vein-disseminated structure. The ore-forming parent rock is granite porphyry. The ore is divided into rock properties according to its rock properties. Granite porphyry and Anshan rock. The Jinduicheng molybdenum deposit is not only rich in molybdenum resources, but also associated with a large amount of sulfur, which is present in the ore in the form of pyrite, with an average sulfur ore grade of 2.8%.
The pyrite is impregnated in the granite porphyry, and the Anshan porphyrite is fine veined or dispersed, and its local concentration is its granular structure. Secondly, the cube is self-shaped and the particle size is 0.02-0.5. Mm. Ore joint development has a hard, brittle nature.
Third, the main factors affecting the quality of sulfur concentrate
(1) The 30-mu land concentrating plant adopts the principle process of preferentially selecting molybdenum and molybdenum tail sulfur. In the process of molybdenum selection, a part of sulfur-selected molybdenum coarse concentrate enters the selection operation, and finally is discharged from the molybdenum selected tailings. go.
(2) The original design date of the 30-mu land concentrating plant was 6600t, and the average daily processing capacity in 2001 was 8100t, which was 122.7% of the original design. The original treatment process was continued, due to the increase in the amount of ore processed by the plant. Reduced flotation time.
(3) When the sulfur is selected, the designed flow rate of the 8PSJ pump used in the pumping station is 600m3/h. Due to the increase of the ore concentration in the plant selection, the magnetic transport capacity at 8 o'clock is insufficient, resulting in the failure of the selected molybdenum tailings to enter the sulfur selection operation.
(4) The ore dressing workshop has been using the original siphon-type dosing method for many years, which cannot accurately control the dose, and sometimes there will be drug breakage, which will affect the sorting effect.
(5) The desulfurization process of the sulfur concentrate in the 30-mu land concentrator has been using the original backward sedimentation tank natural dehydration method for many years, and some sulfur concentrate is lost in the sedimentation tank overflow.
Fourth, the practice of improving the quality of sulfur concentrate
(1) Improving the beneficiation production process
The process before the reformation of sulfur selection in the 30-mu land concentrator is “one coarse and one sweep two fine†process. The process flow is shown in Figure 1.

1, remove the sweeping job
There are 5 sets of 14m 3 flotation machines in the crude selection process of the original sulfur process. The rough selection operation takes a long time. In the rough selection operation, the easy floating particles mostly float up. In the cleaning operation foam products, most of them are difficult to float particles. In order to optimize the selected working environment and improve the quality of the sulfur concentrate products, according to the principle of early harvest, early loss, and comprehensive consideration of price and cost, the quality of the product is improved and the product quality is improved. The benefits of refractory minerals do not enter selected operations to improve the selected operating environment.
2. Add a set of sorting systems
Since the sulfur is not completely recovered, the actual recovery rate of sulfur is low, and after the removal of the sweep, the flotation time of sulfur selection is shortened, the operation recovery rate is reduced by 6%, causing certain losses, and the concentrate grade is to be treated. Further improve. In view of this, an idle sweeping flotation machine is used to add a system sorting operation, and the selected equipment configuration is configured using field conditions without adding new equipment. After the transformation, the grade of the sulfur concentrate has been greatly improved. The process after the transformation is shown in Figure 2. (2) Improving the dosing method and dosing location
There is no stirring tank in the sulfur selection process design, and the original agent is added to the first tank for rough selection, which is not conducive to the sufficient release of the medicament and shortens the action time of the medicament. In order to change this situation, the xanthate and 2 # oil are added to the original mine pump pool, and the circulation is passed to improve the dispersibility of the medicament and improve the sorting conditions.
(3) Transformation to the mine pump
In recent years, due to the improvement of the management level of the 30-mu land concentrator, the equipment operation rate has increased year by year, the -20mm content of the crushed mineral products has been continuously increased, the ore processing capacity has been gradually increased, and the 8PSJ pump used for the sulphur is selected (design flow 600m) 3 / h) difficult to meet normal production, resulting in the selection of molybdenum tailings can not fully enter the sulfur selection operation, affecting the production of sulfur concentrate, therefore, in November 2001, the original 2 # pump of the 8th pumping station of the sulfur selection workshop was demolished and installed. The 10/8ST-AH Warman new energy-saving pump (design flow rate 828m 3 /h), on the basis of the successful transformation of the 2 # pump, the original 1 # pump was rebuilt in April 2002.
(4) Strengthening the management of desulfurization operations of sulfur concentrates
In order to improve the operation level of the employees, technical training was carried out on the job of the sulfur selection workshop three times. In addition, when the sulfur concentrate is being mined, the pump for pumping the overflow in the sedimentation tank is raised in time according to the level of the slurry. When the 2 # and 3 # pools are almost full, the overflow is pumped into the 1 # pool and re-precipitated once. The overflow concentration is greatly reduced, which not only reduces the loss of sulfur concentrate, but also improves the concentrate grade.
V. Conclusion
(1) The 30-mu land concentrating plant has carried out technical transformation on the sulphur-smelting workshop twice in 1998 and 2001. The production of sulphur concentrate (except for the increase in the ore-grade grade) has increased by 6138t and 5947t respectively. The sales price per ton of sulfur concentrate is 70 yuan, and the annual benefit is more than 600,000 yuan, which has achieved good results.
(2) After the sulfur reformation, the grade of the sulfur concentrate reached 48.8%, which was 3.5% higher than before. The actual recovery rate of the sulfur concentrate was 2.24% higher than that before, and the sulfur concentrate water also decreased. The sulfur was used as the collector. The amount of yellow medicine has also decreased compared with the previous one. After several renovations, the company can directly realize the profit of 3.703 million yuan per year and achieve better environmental benefits.
(3) The 30-mu land concentrating plant is an old factory with more than 30 years of construction. The space for reducing production costs is getting smaller and smaller, and the pressure is getting bigger and bigger. It is necessary to rely on scientific and technological progress and accelerate the pace of technological transformation to improve economic efficiency. .
